Advanced Visualisation

Business applications are now being delivered based on 3D games technology and the latest Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation software. This integrated suite of technologies enables the creation of advanced HMI displays, visualisation, and immersive 3D environments, across a range of desktop, web and mobile devices.

Data, audio and video can be integrated from a wide range of SCADA, DCS, Energy management, CCTV, Document Management, ERP and other business systems. Interfaces are currently available for a range of SCADA products, including CitectSCADA and Schneider's Energy Management solution, ION Enterprise. An OPC driver is also available.

MV5 and MVX can be deployed separately, or as an integrated solution:

Below is a series of demos that illustrates some of the many features of these technologies. We hope you enjoy exploring them.

NOTE: Both the video and live demo have sound, so if you are at work you might like to adjust your volume or put on some headphones!

While this video has a SCADA flavour, we have discovered considerable interest from other functions in the business too. We suggest you just focus on the features illustrated and apply them to your particular areas of responsibility.

This system was recently installed in the Queensland State Library's new Edge Building. It gets its live data field from SATEC BFM power meters and Schneider's ION Enterprise energy management software.

A series of dashboards, starting with this one based on Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation will be developed through artistic projects run by the State Library. Future versions will feature the 3D modelling and games engines demonstrated above in the gas pipeline and Longwall demos. The knowledge gained in intuitive forms of information presentation through this collaboration may also be transferable to other industries that VRT serves, e.g. mining, utilities, transport, etc.
