What is the triple bottom line?

VRT Citect Solutions
Both VRT and Citect have successfully implemented a number of facilities and energy related projects over several years. Both companies recently teamed with electrical meter provider, EDMI, to provide an energy/environmental solution to the Australian Department of Defence through the Facilities Manager, Resolve FM.
Based on the success of this project, and a fruitful working relationship spanning several years, VRT and Citect have joined forces to partner with facility owners and managers to help them meet their business imperatives in the areas of costs and the environment, via facilities management.

The major components of the solution set include Citect's new version of their product tailored specifically for the facilities market, Citect SCADA Facilities. As well as providing a platform for an energy management system, it can facilitate additional benefits in the integration of disparate BMS systems and improved equipment life via downtime reporting and integration with maintenance management systems.
Regional Utility Management System (RUMS)
To facilitate economic and environmental benefits for large complex sites or multi-site organisations, VRT has developed comprehensive information repository and reporting system called RUMS (Regional Utility Management System). RUMS (Regional Utility Management System) provides three main functions: accurate measurement of consumption, monitoring & control, as well as management reporting. Built on modern technologies such as Microsoft's SQL-Server and using modern software development techniques, the RUMS Reporter system is an organisation wide monitoring and management system for the serious energy management team, such as Australia's Department of Defence. RUMS has recently been enhanced to offer web- based report delivery, and extended to integrate within a portal environment to allow comprehensive sustainability solutions to be delivered.

Sustainability Portal (RUMS-SP) is a web based portal application
designed to provide energy and utility consumption profiling and reporting,
report on recycling activities, facilitate benchmarking, foster community
awareness, encourage improved processes and practices, provide tools to
manage facility infrastructure and better manage all sustainability matters.

RUMS
SCADA is a utility management framework for CitectSCADA™ that
integrates the RUMS reporting engine with a CitectSCADA system. RUMS SCADA
enables RUMS to gather energy consumption and quality data from a
CitectSCADA connected metering network, and also includes meter management
functions to provide a single configuration point for managing utility
meters. RUMS SCADA is built on the foundation of VRT's Enterprise Navigator,
which provides advanced alarm and trend displays, and an energy management
oriented library of templates and reusable components to accelerate project

SATEC Electricity Meters. This
range of power, energy and quality meters are industrial grade digital meters
and include integrated data communications. They are supplied as product to
switchboard manufacturers, engineering companies/departments for use in
electrical transmission or reticulation systems, or major power usage equipment.
In addition VRT uses these meters as part of their overall utilities management
