ValidEx Templates
ValidEx Templates is a library of standard terms, definitions &
calculations that can be used to standardise the way your business describes
and calculates performance measures.
Standard calculations such as
availability, uptime, yield, or recovery can all be defined in a library of
components for use in KPI reporting, downtime systems, or general purpose
calculations.
ValidEx Calc Engine
Traditional calculation engines are well adapted to situations where large numbers of simple calculations are performed at high speed. More advanced functions like conditional execution, branching structures and even procedural code have made these solutions increasingly difficult to manage and audit. ValidEx Calc Engine is designed to complement formula-based calculation engines by providing a better way to manage complex problems. It is designed to manage process modelling, generally running at a slower timescale to provide high-level analysis and optimisation functions.
ValidEx KPI Manager
A top-to-bottom, enterprise-wide KPI management system that delivers trusted performance measures at all levels.
- For Operations Staff: ValidEx KPI Manager relieves operations managers of time-consuming data management tasks and allows them to get back to improving the operation of the plant. No more end-of-month rush to get out the figures.
- For KPI Owners: ValidEx KPI Manager separates logic from data, allowing KPI owners to control KPI calculations and validation rules. A secure, version controlled, auditable environment contains both a KPI hierarchy and a graphical logic building environment. This combination allows KPIs to be managed by subject experts, not programmers or spreadsheet experts.
- For Upper Management: ValidEx KPI Manager delivers timely, trusted performance indicators. All summarisations, revisions and corrections are tracked with an audit trail. See clearly which data has been adjusted, when and by whom. Each revision to improve data quality is tagged with the person making the change, and an explanation why the change was made, or why the figure should stand.

ValidEx Connectors
One of the key strengths of ValidEx is its ability to leverage your existing investment in Best-Of-Breed business applications. ValidEx Connectors provide a way to utilise data in ValidEx from your mine planning, maintenance, downtime, metal balance or any other applications. Traditional integration approaches often rely on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) to manipulate the data formats, and result in applications which are custom built and require additional configuration. ValidEx Connectors are actually built using the XempleX graphical modelling tool. The data extraction, transformation and load are all defined visually in flow diagrams - no configuration tables, no code.
ValidEx Designer
ValidEx designer is the control centre for ValidEx applications. It provides a single point of access for all ValidEx technologies, providing a coherent, seamless interface to the underlying system.
