Many of our customers in mining, manufacturing and utilities have developed a
three pronged approach to eBusiness systems. There is a "buy side",
where they interact with suppliers, a "sell side", where they interact
with customers, and a "make side", where they interact with their own
operations. VRT has placed an emphasis on assisting its customers develop and
maintain "make side" eBusiness solutions.
We specialise in P2B (Plant to Business) systems which are essential prerequisites for full top to bottom (customer to manufacturer) eBusiness systems. These are the foundation for future survival and prosperity. The data in the automation systems is the baseline of the entire business. VRT delivers solutions which leverage this data to provide decision support systems for operations and corporate management. PlantPortal. Some
companies have chosen to integrate their plant floor and business systems at
the application level. While this can produce considerable business
benefits, it is generally a complex and expensive process. In many cases
considerable benefits can be achieved merely by providing a simple,
consistent form of access to various islands of electronic information and
to convert the paper based systems into an electronic format so that they
can also participate in this environment. This information needs to be made
