Defence - Regional Utility Management System.
VRT, in conjunction with Citect and meter manufacturer EDMI, have
recently completed the first phase of the major Regional Utilites Management
System (RUMS) for the Australian Department of Defence. This system covers
the major South Queensland bases of Enoggera, Amberley and Oakey, and will
be a major contributor to Defences Greenhouse Gas Emission objectives in the

Queensland
Rail - Electronic Weighing & Billing System. Australian based Queensland Rail transports around 90 million tones of
coal every year between 30 coal mines and export ports on the central
Queensland coast. In the past, the tracking of individual consignments has
been difficult, resulting in lost information and delayed billing. Since coal transport is a major revenue source for Queensland Rail, a
project was undertaken to automatically measure train loading and transfer
the information to regional offices and the corporate billing systems. Read

Brisbane City Council
- Brisbane Works Weighbridge Management. Brisbane City Council operates several stone quarries
and asphalt plants, in order to supply its own Works department, as well as
for commercial sales. Whilst the current terminal-based system had worked
for many years, its short-comings were not to be carried forward into the
revised accounting and management practices currently being implemented. The
BCC chose VRT to redevelop in Oracle a weighing information system
previously developed by VRT's partner, weighing specialists, WeighMaster. Read

Cairns City Council -
Water & Waste Water Management. Cairns is the hub of the tourist
Mecca in Far North Queensland. The many natural attractions include tropical
rainforest, lakes and waterfalls, the Great Barrier Reef and the warm winter
weather. Among its many responsibilities, the City of Cairns provides water
and waste water services for the Cairns area which doubles in population at
the peak of the winter tourist season. MacroView acts as a telemetry system
for the remote monitoring of the water and waster water system consisting of
two treatment plants, the city's reservoir system and approximately 200
