The solutions delivered span the areas of automatic data collection, automation and supervisory control systems, management information systems, integration with business information systems and all related business processes.

Our philosophy is to maximise the use of standard, well supported product sets in our solutions, and to implement minimal customised software elements in the customers preferred standards or framework, with preferences given to Microsoft and Open Source alternatives.

Product Implementation.
If you're an existing user of SCADA/MES/PIMS products, VRT is able to
provide implementation services for Citect, Matrikon, Rockwell, MacroView or Schneider's ION Enterprise products.
VRT also offer XempleX implementation services to assist in
building business models. Whether you need to update a few Citect or
Operational Insight screens,
or develop a comprehensive business model in XempleX, call us to discuss
your requirements.
Software Development.
Although we always maximise the use of off-the-shelf products (the "COTS"
approach), and we have chosen a variety of products that are highly
configurable, there are occasions where some customised development is
unavoidable. We have a preference for high level tools, where appropriate.
Some specialised applications are catered for by our strategic
relationships, e.g. XempleX for techno/economic modelling and Matrikon's
Operational Insight for web based dashboards and reporting. Lower level development in one of two
preferred environments: (a) Microsoft (VB, .NET, SQLServer, Crystal, IIS,
ASP, etc) or (b) Open Source (Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP, etc) Some

Helpdesk Support.
VRT has always placed a high emphasis on the ongoing support aspects of a
customer relationship. Most of our larger customers have entered into long
term Support Agreements with us. Several of these have spanned 15 years, and
many require 24x7 coverage. We have an extensive and secure remote support
capability enabling our support engineers to connect to a customer's
site/system from our Brisbane office or from the home of the duty support
