Warehouse Tracking
VRT has recently established a new division for Mobile Data Solutions. The Manager is Mark Oellermann, who previously worked with VRT in SCADA and general industrial information systems areas before spending several years in Europe. The initial focus for this Division is in the area of Warehouse Management, particularly for industrial, spare parts stores, leveraging solutions that have been delivered to the Gove Aluminium Refinery and Tomago Aluminium Smelter.
P-Trak provides an excellent framework for tracking anything which can have a barcode label or RFID tag "attached" to it. Solutions currently under consideration cover: products, parts, people, containers, mobile equipment, safety equipment, expensive/exotic items, bulk material, etc.
