Matrikon Mine to Port
CoalSync chooses Matrikon's Mine to Port software as the basis for the CoalSync Portal
VRT's sister company, CoalSync, provides information sharing systems and services for shared infrastructure bulk material supply chains. Prior to this, CoalSync operated on a custom solution developed by VRT, based on its PlantPortal technology.
CoalSync and Matrikon jointly extended the capability of Matrikon's Mine to Port to cater for multiple supply chains sharing common infrastructure as part of the development of a prototype model of the Gladstone Coal Corridor. This exercise helped to prove the suitability of Matrikon's Mine to Port for these types of applications. Matrikon's Mine to Port utilises much of the same core software components and architecture as Matrikon's Production Manager Suite that has become the standard MES platform for many coal producers, including Anglo Coal, BMA and Xstrata Coal, thus ensuring ease of integration between the overall supply chain information system and coal producer's internal systems.
This solution is applicable to new ventures such as the NCIG project in Newcastle, the new Goonyella Coal Chain co-location facility and other bulk material supply chains.
