The core business of VRT is the provision and support of industrial
information solutions. When we started delivering these services in the mid
1980s we were in the pioneering category in Australia. We have since
delivered a wide range of solutions to our customers in our target markets:
resources, manufacturing, utilities, transport/logistics and Government.
Within these industries, our focus is on the operational levels of our
customer's businesses. The solutions delivered span the areas of automatic
data collection, automation and supervisory control systems, management
information systems, integration with business information systems and all
related business processes. Our solutions are based on both Microsoft and
Open Source technologies.
Our business is run along the following lines of business: SCADA/MES/PIMS, Plant to Business Integration. Track and Trace, and Utilities Management.
To cover this range of engineering, information and business systems solutions, with minimal technology platform variation and maximum through life supportability, we have entered into a variety of technology and services partnering relationships. Some of these relationships exceed 18 years. Strategic and long term relationships include: Citect, MacroView, Rockwell Software, Matrikon, XempleX, and Compete Solutions.
VRT has provided solutions throughout Australia, South East Asia and Japan. We are proud to have served high profile customers such as: Anglo Coal, Queensland Rail, Xstrata, Coca-Cola Amatil, BHP, Asahi Chemical, Australian Department of Defence, Queensland Transport, CSR, Rio Tinto and Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Corporation, as well as many small to medium enterprises.
VRT has always placed a high emphasis on the ongoing support aspects of a customer relationship. Most of our larger customers have entered into long term Support Agreements with us. Several of these have spanned 15 years. We have an extensive and secure remote support capability enabling our support engineers to connect to a customer's site/system from our Brisbane office or from the home of the duty support engineer. We offer a tailored support arrangement to meet each customer's requirements.
